1. Explore Mount Aso

Take your day trip from Kumamoto to Aso. This is really a great idea since the place is surrounded by the essence of nature. With spectacular views of the mountains and rolling field, hedgerow landscape, and cultural sights. Aso has some great features of verdant grasslands around the outside of the caldera and covering the central mountaintops.

3. Visit Rakunoh Mother’s Aso Milk Farm

This ranch is really famous when it comes to dairy farming, milking a cow, horseback riding and eating their delicious buffet. You can also purchase homemade milk, cheese, and other specialty products at this farm. In the afternoon, they have a goat and a pig race. It’s really exciting and fun!

4. Roadside Station Kikusui – Roman kan

Address: 455 Eta, Nagomi,Tamana District, Kumamoto 865-0136 Business Hours: 9:00 am-9:00 pm

Kikusui Station is located along Tamana District, Kumamoto. The station contains specialty horse meat store and restaurants that sell some local products like grown fruit and fresh vegetables. This station has a huge park with great facilities for camping and canoeing.

5. Famous Bakery at Kikusui Station

This Simple-Styled Bread Shop has a variety of scrumptious & stellar array of bread with cheese flavour and other toppings which are indeed my favourite. It really reminds me of a European-Japanese style artisan bakeries. You guys should drop by and enjoy the warm atmosphere of the place.

6. Michi-no-Eki (Roadside Station) Hitoyoshi Craft Park Ishino Park

This roadside is the comfort zone for those Japanese drivers or travelers who wanted to take some rest and very convenient since It’s just near the highways with free parking space. Camping sites and bicycle rentals are available in this area.
